Use of Funds

As the leading pediatric medical center in the region, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital provides a child-friendly environment, more than thirty pediatric specialties and numerous outreach programs to our community.

Giraffe Omnibed

Children's Hospital relies on the support of East Tennesseans like you to continue to offer high quality, state-of-the-art care. Fantasy of Trees and other fundraising events enable the hospital to purchase much-needed equipment to continue providing the best possible care for each child.

In 2018, your contribution to Fantasy of Trees will help purchase a new state-of-the-art Giraffe Omnibed incubator and warmer for our pediatric intensive care unit, and replacement beds for other areas in hospital.

The Giraffe Omnibed is the perfect environment for medically fragile infants. With the touch of a button, the bed converts from a full-featured incubator to a radiant warmer. This helps reduce stress to the baby and increases access for the baby’s team of medical experts. The bed also has a patented Baby Susan rotating mattress to minimize unnecessary stimulation of the baby, while provide easy access for medical staff providing intensive care. The bed’s elevating base offers a comfortable working height for medical staff as well as just the right angle for family interaction with their baby.

Fantasy Of Trees 2020 Cancelled

After much careful consideration, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital announces the need to cancel this year’s Fantasy of Trees event due to ongoing concerns over the continued increase in COVID-19 cases in our community. The annual event is the hospital’s single largest fundraiser, attracting 60,000 people, during the week of Thanksgiving, each year.
