Performer FAQ

Where is the 36th annual Fantasy of Trees?

The 5-day event is held in the Knoxville Convention Center, at 701 Henley St. Knoxville, TN, 37902.

Where can I park?

Directions and Parking

The Fantasy of Trees does not provide guaranteed or free parking for performers, but there is parking available at various public lots near the Knoxville Convention Center. Please allow yourself ample time to park and walk to the convention center. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your scheduled performance.

Where do I check in?

Entertainment check-in is located between 200A and 200B, on the second level of the Knoxville Convention Center.

How many tickets do I receive as a performer?

Performers will receive one complimentary ticket for a guest. Performers, directors and chaperones who are listed on the performance roster will receive a hand stamp at check-in that allows them entry to the show. (Should you exit the show at any time, you will need a stamp in order to return.) Additional tickets may be purchased at the main ticket booth, at the Clinch Avenue Entrance, or can be purchased online.

If my child is performing, can I stay in the 2nd floor dressing room and/or wait for them backstage?

Parents are not allowed backstage. All child performers will be held under the supervision of their director backstage until the entire group’s performance is complete. No performer will return to the 2nd floor dressing rooms. Please plan on meeting your child at the designated dismissal area, located beside the stage.

Where can I change out of my performance attire?

Performers will be allowed to change after their performance in the restrooms located behind the stage. We ask that you do not change in any of the other public restrooms in the convention center. Doing so creates confusion and overcrowding for other Fantasy of Trees guests, and could impact your group’s future performances at Fantasy of Trees.

Is video recording allowed?

We encourage you to take video of this special performance. However, for the safety of all attending guests, we ask that you stay clear of walkways and paths. No one will be permitted on the sound stage to record. NOTE: Remember to charge your camera or phone ahead of time; charging stations will not be available.

I perform on Saturday...Is there a UT home game?

There is not a UT football home game on Saturday, November 28th, 2020.

If you have any additional questions, your director/instructor has received additional detailed instructions regarding your performance at the Fantasy of Trees.

Fantasy Of Trees 2020 Cancelled

After much careful consideration, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital announces the need to cancel this year’s Fantasy of Trees event due to ongoing concerns over the continued increase in COVID-19 cases in our community. The annual event is the hospital’s single largest fundraiser, attracting 60,000 people, during the week of Thanksgiving, each year.
