About Us
Looking Out for Long-Term Needs
We know that each child is different. That’s why we create a custom plan for diagnosis, education and treatment. If your child requires long-term treatment, we make comfort and fun a priority in the hospital.
Our team includes friendly registrars, techs and secretaries, social workers, case management, navigation, research associates, pharmacy members, registered dietitian, PT, OT and speech therapists, a child life specialist, and nurses that are all dedicated to helping families through difficult diagnosis.
Our Child Life Specialists are on call to help children cope with the day-to-day realities of staying in the hospital. They ease anxiety through the power of play in a constructive, healing and educating manner. We currently have 15 staff members that serve as cheerleaders, confidantes and advocates to patients who may be uneasy with their visit.
East Tennessee Children's Hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is a hospital outpatient department and uses provider-based billing. To learn more about provider-based billing, visit East Tennessee Children's Hospital Billing and Insurance.
