The School Nurse Conference puts this mission into action by providing up to date information on common childhood illnesses, injuries, chronic diseases, and professional nursing issues.

Annual School Nurse Conference 2022

The Annual School Nurse Conference will be a virtual conference June 10, 2022. 

This year, Children’s Hospital is adding an additional “hands on” half day, to be held in person in our Discovery Innovation & Simulation Center (DISC). The “hands on” half day will be offered June 15, June 17, and July 13. 

You will have the ability to choose to register for the Virtual Conference ONLY or the Virtual Conference and one "hands day session (as space allows.)

There are only 60 spots available for the "hands on" half day.  These spots are first come, first serve and are expected to fill quickly.  When the spots are filled, registration for the hands-on skills days will no longer be available. However, individuals can continue to register for the virtual conference.

Payment must be by debit or credit card online ONLY at the time of registration.

  • Virtual Conference ONLY (June 10) - $50.00
  • "Hands on" Half Day Sessions (June 15, June 17, July 13) - Additional $15.00 (Total: $65.00)

Refunds

  • Full refund through May 31 if a complete cancellation
  • If cancelling “hands on” half day only, $15.00 refund through May 31
  • No refunds available after May 31

Topics for "Hands on" Half Day

  • Diabetes
  • Tracheostomies
  • Allergic Reactions
  • Seizures

Participants will have the opportunity to participate in two high fidelity simulations and two low fidelity simulations.  During this time, learners will practice critical thinking/assessment skills, interact with equipment, and explore troubleshooting strategies.

The entire experience will take approximately 4 hours.  Those enrolled will receive additional information closer to the date of his/her choosing.
