Didn't review all of my child's prior testing that we did for this appointment. Had no idea she had an abnormal EEG told me that she was just having panic attacks with migraines. Did not listen to my concerns. Did not ask. Family history did not ask me really any questions. Just came in. Said it was migraine said that she needed nasal spray and that maybe one day she might need a preventative but she is healthy and strong and mature so she should be fine. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor. I'm actually just going to go to Vanderbilt instead. I will not go back to East Tennessee Children's hospital neurology department ever again.

Once you get used to Dr. Gammeltoft, you realize that he is a delight and cares greatly about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone and feel completely confident in his abilities. He is compassionate, and willing to listen to the parents of his patients. He will push back against anything that he feels would not be beneficial, however, he does so very tactfully and compassionately. I appreciate a straight shooter, and can't speak highly enough of Dr. Gammeltoft.

This is the second time I have brought her about this issue. The first was a couple yrs ago. This time it in my oppinion is worse. I felt like he just acted like Im over reacting. He told her to get a part time job to keep her mind busy. Im sorry but that is just not a good answer. She is 15 going to be 16 and shouls not be forgetting why she is walking and where she is going. Not when she does it every day at school. How is a job going to help that. I think a memory teat should have been done at the least.

We had to contact the office and follow up on testing from November. We scheduled an appointment to discuss results and the doctor offered little explanation saying "there's just not a lot of information out there" and suggested we could Google the new diagnosis we had received and he would see us back in a year. He offered no therapy recommendations or care instructions. We always have to contact the office for test results and they always put us off for another year when we do see the doctor for 10 minutes.

The neurologist has no bedside manners. He did not explain anything.

I'm currently sitting at Vanderbilt because of the terrible care Dr. Gammeltoft has shown my daughter. It's like he has a problem with women or something. Very sexist. Asked for a routine MRI to be ordered 3 times, and each time it's been denied without a reason. He doesn't seem interested in my child's condition and I left the appointment with way more questions than when I started it. 0/5 would NEVER recommend him to any parent.

The doctor was very interested in my son. He quickly recognized our son would benefit from an in school support person and home support.
