I'm currently sitting at Vanderbilt because of the terrible care Dr. Gammeltoft has shown my daughter. It's like he has a problem with women or something. Very sexist. Asked for a routine MRI to be ordered 3 times, and each time it's been denied without a reason. He doesn't seem interested in my child's condition and I left the appointment with way more questions than when I started it. 0/5 would NEVER recommend him to any parent.

The doctor was very interested in my son. He quickly recognized our son would benefit from an in school support person and home support.

He gave no explanation of testing or treatment plan. He asked very few questions. His only exam was looking in my son's eyes, no neurological exam. He offered to prescribe medication; but didn't explain what it was, side effects, warnings, or define how long to take it. After looking it up the treatment although probably common is off label and has a black box warning for suicide which seems important to mention for a teen boy. I expect a higher level of care from a specialist. If he had any idea what was causing my son's headaches he didn't reveal that to us. I left feeling discouraged. There was no mention of comfort measures other than we could try some medicine. I was discouraged and disappointed by the appt / provider and not interested in seeing him again.

Horrible experience. Blatant sexism and lack of concern. Blamed issues on being a female. Did not listen to concerns. Would never see again.
