Carolyn S. Welch, N.P.

This was the first time seeing the NP. At first she was very kind and treated my daughter with respect. However when it came time to talk about her symptoms and how my other children have already been seen for the same issues, she seemed to make it a point to argue with me about treatment and her opinion on what would work best for my daughter. I understand that she is the medical professional, but she made me feel very stupid and made my daughter feel uncomfortable by the end of the visit. I appreciate her ability to get us seen and prescribe some medicine for my daughter. But if given the option to see her again, we will not see her again. I cannot remember her name, but she had grey hair and glasses and wore a mask.

Did not want to listen to concerns. When asked about continuing a mediation PT was prescribed at ETCH UC she refused to give her medical opinion because she "was not the one to prescribe meds so I can't say yes or no", couldn't give a clinical diagnosis but didn't agree with ETCH UC's diagnosis a few days prior. Just over all very poor communication, lack of understanding and ultimately gave zero insight, no help with concerns etc as a NP regarding my daughter's medical needs. Had multiple "well it's up to you mom" answers for medication questions.

Carolyn is always so friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and takes her time to explain things. My son feels comfortable with her and I never feel like she's rushing through our appointment.
