Children’s Hospital Immersive Medical Program (CHIMP)
The Children’s Hospital Immersive Medical Program (CHIMP) is a branch of the VolunTeen Program that aims to provide an enriching introduction into pediatric healthcare through a nonprofit lens.
An exclusive educational opportunity, this program is offered to graduated high school seniors, who have been in the VolunTeen Program for at least one summer. CHIMP is designed for those that are interested in a healthcare career and have a passion for learning. Through the perspective of a nonprofit institute, the CHIMP cohort will participate in observation opportunities, interactive and hands-on experiences, problem-based learning sessions, healthcare professional forums, and tours on the main campus of East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. CHIMP is rooted in the goal of molding the next generation of healthcare leaders and professionals. The program is an all-day, one week experience.
