Children’s Hospital is a 152 bed, comprehensive regional pediatric medical center in Knoxville, Tennessee, with more than 100 subspecialists serving families from Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia. Our busy ED, PCU, NICU and inpatient service and clinics result in 150,000 visits annually.

Our Adolescent Medicine position involves primarily outpatient care for youth Monday through Friday, with inpatient consultations. The ideal candidate will be expected to have strong clinical and communication skills with a strong interest in working with both typical and medically complex children. The successful candidate will be board-eligible/certified and fellowship trained in Adolescent Medicine with enthusiasm, strong clinical and interpersonal skills, and a desire to continue our tradition of high-quality care.

The ideal candidate will deliver proactive care to assist with leading and improving services in all areas of adolescent medicine, including primary care and prevention, mental health, reproductive health, eating disorders and substance abuse. This position works within a multidisciplinary team of physicians, hospital social workers, child protective services and law enforcement agencies to gather information and represent patient medical concerns. The physician will provide inpatient and ambulatory clinical care in a subspecialty area within the evaluation and management of infants, children and adolescents for suspected child abuse and neglect.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship trained in Child Abuse Pediatrics and hold a valid TN medical license.

This is an opportunity to join a busy, established practice, focused on expert care for children of all ages, providing inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow up. This is a clinically dedicated position and will include infection prevention, antibiotic stewardship, hospital epidemiology and related quality duties. We also provide pediatric ID coverage nearby at The University of Tennessee Medical Center with teaching opportunities for rotating students and trainees. We maintain close, collaborative relationships with local and state public health authorities. Successful candidates will have a proven clinical history of the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, providing consultations, lab interpretations, developing treatment plans, and patient/family education. The ideal candidate will be expected to have strong clinical and communication skills. There will be shared weekday, weekend, and holiday emergent/after-hours call coverage. This position will be integral as we plan for opening a state-of-the-art epilepsy monitoring unit. This leadership position will have at least a 90 percent clinical, 10 percent administrative time ratio. As the only neurology practice in the area dedicated solely to pediatric patients, our child neurologists are committed to providing an exceptional level of care for children with mild to complex neurological conditions. We provide a mix of inpatient care including coverage of the PICU, NICU, hospital floors and scheduled inpatient EEG monitoring as well as care in our outpatient clinic. This position includes a highly competitive salary and robust benefit package, along with productivity and quality-based incentives. Innovative Pathology Services seeks a pediatric pathologist to join our practice covering surgical pathology at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in pediatric pathology and eligible for Tennessee state licensure. This position will be focused on general pediatric surgical pathology including solid tumors, GI pathology, hematopathology, neuropathology, cytopathology, and the clinical laboratory. Autopsies are outsourced to a regional forensic center. Excellent interpersonal skills will be put to use in consultation with the clinical staff and teaching of pathology residents from the University of Tennessee Knoxville Medical Center.
