Tennessee Parent-to-Parent Provides Support for Families
Tennessee Parent-to-Parent provides support, information and resources from trained and experienced parents for families caring for a child with a disability or special health care need. Through this program, the requesting parent can be matched with parents willing to share their personal stories and emotional support. They can help with problem-solving, share community resources with which they are familiar and give first-hand advice regarding parenting a child with these kinds of needs.
TNP2P is looking for more trained volunteers to keep up with the high amount of match requests. If you want to volunteer your time and share your experiences and expertise, please complete this online Mentor form. A Parent Mentor workshop will be held at East Tennessee Children's Hospital Rehab Center, 1025 Children's Way, on Tuesday, April 29, 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Contact Tracy Bock 690-8961 ext. 2225 to sign-up for the training.
