Teens Give Back to Children's Hospital

Children's Hospital Volunteens

More than 150 teens are spending part of their summer vacation giving back to others at East Tennessee Children's Hospital, now through August 8. The volunteers in this year's VolunTeens program represent 34 high schools from 10 counties across Tennessee. Each teen will volunteer for two weeks, filling either a morning or afternoon shift.

The high school students will work in areas all over the hospital including, but not limited to, pediatric neurology services, outpatient surgery and ophthalmology. Some will also have the opportunity to work with patients from Children's Hospital Rehabilitation Center during their annual summer camp in July.
