KidCare Event Provides Free IDs for Children

KidCare Photo ID program

This weekend, Shoney's Restaurants is hosting the KidCare Photo ID program. Three events across the region will provide free KidCare photo IDs for children, which allow parents to have information ready for authorities if their child is reported missing.

Your child's ID will include a color photograph, fingerprints, medical information and date of birth. All visitors will receive a goody bag at the event and a chance to visit with Shoney Bear.

To get a free ID for your child, head to one of these events this weekend:

  • Friday, Aug. 22, 2 to 7 p.m. at Safety City in Oak Ridge
  • Saturday, Aug. 23, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cedar Bluff Elementary in Knoxville
  • Sunday, Aug. 24, 12 to 6 p.m. at Foothills Mall in Maryville

The community event is held in partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and is celebrating its 20th year of providing IDs to our region's children.
