Congratulations to Kelly Wolfenbarger, DAISY Award winner for July 2021
Kelly is an RN in Oncology.
"I want to thank Kelly for being my nurse for my first month I stayed here. She took very good care of me and made me feel good about losing my hair. When I was upset, Kelly knew and would talk with me and make me understand things, then give me a hug and tell me she loves me. She never gave up on me and made me keep going. Kelly made me feel good about myself. Kelly always took real good care of me. She made me get better. My grandmas said Kelly was very thorough and did things right. I wish Kelly would get the Daisy Award because of everything she has done for me. I love Kelly and she is a great, very nice, helpful, and knows a lot of things. Kelly should get this award because she works hard and is nice and deserves the Daisy Award. She is a very extraordinary nurse and one of a kind."

The DAISY Award is an international recognition program that honors extraordinary nurses who provide compassionate and skillful care every day. The DAISY Foundation was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he died from complications of the auto-immune disease ITP in 1999. During his hospitalization, they deeply appreciated the care and compassion shown to Patrick and his entire family. When he died, they felt compelled to say “thank you” to nurses in a very public way. Please say thank you by sharing your story of how a nurse made a difference you will never forget!
