East Tennessee Children’s Hospital has been resurveyed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and awarded Accreditation with Commendation for 6 years as a provider of continuing medical education for physicians.

Children’s Hospital utilizes Electronic Education Documentation System (eedsTM) as its online portal for continuing medical education. Go to http://etch.eeds.com to access Internet CME (Enduring Materials), find upcoming activities, download course materials, print your CME certificates, and sign in to CME activities. Attendance will now only be recorded through electronic sign in via eeds. Documentation of your attendance is available instantaneously on your eeds account through your attendance certificate.

Program Accreditation and Course Credits

Accreditation

The East Tennessee Children’s Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Maintenance of Certification

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity and individual assessment of and feedback to the learner, enables the learner to earn up to [XX] MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.

Education Credits AMA

The East Tennessee Children’s Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of * AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses

The American Academy of Physician's Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Nurses and nurse practitioners certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Association (ANCC) may use this credit toward certification renewal. This credit is acceptable by nurse practitioners certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Other Healthcare Professionals

Professional associations may choose to convert the hours earned to contact hours. Please contact your certifying board to ensure these credit hours will be accepted.
