Dr. Cindy Hoover is a native of the East Tennessee area who grew up in
Fentress County. Dr. Hoover graduated from David Lipscomb University in
Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in biochemistry.
After graduation, she worked two years for the Tennessee State Department
of Health as a chemist. She then attended the University of Tennessee
health Science Center and graduated with her medical degree in 1997. She
completed a residence in Pediatrics at Indiana University's Riley
Hospital for Children and was Board-Certified in pediatrics in 2000. She
joined the Maryville Pediatric Group in August 2000.
Dr. Hoover enjoys serving the families of rural East Tennessee. She hopes
to be an inspiration to her patients, as her childhood physician was to
her. Dr. Hoover always enjoyed outdoor activities, and she found a new
passion for training and showing quarter horses after meeting her husband
Marty in 2002. Together they enjoy riding horses and studying horse psychology
