You've just learned that your 2-year-old needs to have surgery at Children's Hospital. Or your 7-year-old has been diagnosed with cancer or diabetes and will begin coming to an outpatient clinic. Or your teen was hurt during a football game and needs to have an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) study of his head to check for injuries.

The prospect of a visit to the hospital can be stressful and even frightening, both for the child and the parent. Obviously, you'll have a lot of questions about what you and your child can expect.
