Who Should Attend?
Nurses working in the following areas-schools, pediatric and family practice offices and hospitals; Physicians, EMS professionals, Respiratory Therapists, Rehab professionals, Clinical Dietitians, Social Workers, students and all other neonatal and pediatric health care providers.

Who’s Behind the Conference?
As a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital is committed to providing educational resources and opportunities to health care professionals in this region. This conference draws on the combined expertise of national and local experts for our conference faculty. East Tennessee Children’s Hospital is a private, independent, not-for-profit pediatric medical center and we depend on our community partners and sponsors to continue this effort.

Educational Credits:
This program of Nursing Continuing Education is provided by East Tennessee Children's Hospital and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville College of Nursing. The program has been approved for an estimated 14.7 contact hours (6 school nurse conferences, 3 preconference, and 5.7 conference) and an estimated maximum 1.5 CEUs. The University of Tennessee College of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Conference Objectives

    At the end of this conference, participants will be able to:
  • Network with colleagues who care for pediatric patients and families in similar settings.
  • Identify appropriate therapies for specific pediatric illnessess in the school setting.
  • Explore Curent Issues and trends in the pediatric office setting.
  • Discover ways to motivate yourself and your team to put energy back into the work environment.
  • Assess individual knowledge level/performance and make improvements through relevant learning experiences.
  • Teach/share information and resources gained at the conference for improved patient outcomes
