Thanks for supporting the Children's Hospital license plate!

Thanks to so many friends of Children's Hospital, the specialty Tennessee license plate that benefits the hospital is still available.

Once at risk for being eliminated due to low numbers of purchasers, the plate is now secure. In the first six months of 2007, almost 700 tags were purchased – the largest number purchased in a six-month period since the tag first became available a few years ago. Children's Hospital received more than $12,200 from the state of Tennessee in August from proceeds of the license plate sales during that six-month period.

The license plate is an easy way to support Children's Hospital, and we are grateful to all of you who have purchased one. We hope you will renew the plate each year when it comes due to help Children's Hospital on an ongoing basis.

The plate is available continuously through each County Clerk's office, and the cost of the plate is $35 in addition to each county's renewal fee. Fifty percent of the revenue generated from the specialty plates directly benefits Children's Hospital.
