Get Out Your Soap Box!
Send Germs Down the Drain - Wash Your Hands!

Shoney’s and Children’s Hospital remind you that the best way to get rid of germs is to wash your hands -- after meals, after bathroom breaks, after sneezes, even after hugging your dog or cat!

We suggest these easy tips for everyone in the family to wash away those pesky germs that make people sick!
    Use soap, and then lather up for 10-15 seconds. Make sure you wash between fingers and under nails where germs like to “hang out.”
    Rinse and dry well with a clean towel, then turn off the water with the towel to keep from getting germs on clean hands.
    Sing a favorite song while washing hands. By the time the song is over, those germs should be washed away.
Don’t underestimate the power of hand washing! The few seconds it takes can save your child a trip to the doctor’s office. Hand washing is the single best way to prevent the spread of germs and to keep children from getting sick. To learn more about hand washing, check out the following links:
