Volunteers from Volunteer Services and Resources offer tours to children in preschool. Tours are conducted on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday mornings around 9:30 a.m. and are limited to one tour group per week. Groups must have no more than 20 people, including adult chaperones. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance by calling (865) 541-8136.

A volunteer tour guide will meet children participating in the tour in the main lobby of the hospital. The volunteer will talk to them about a visit to the hospital and then take the group on a short tour that may include the Neurology Lab and Radiology, depending on the patient load for that day. Groups may also visit the Chapel, and the tour will conclude in the main lobby. Information bags are given to the group leader to be distributed to the children at an appropriate time following the visit.
