VOLUNTEER AT THE 2008 FANTASY OF TREES

Volunteers are the driving force behind the Fantasy of Trees. Thousands of volunteers give about 155,000 hours of their time each year to make the Fantasy of Trees a success for Children's Hospital.

How can you get involved in this year's Fantasy of Trees? It's easy!

How to Volunteer
  • Call the Children's Hospital Volunteer Services and Resources Department at (865) 541-8385 or e-mail fot@etch.com.
Different Ways You Can Volunteer for the Fantasy of Trees
  • Designers - Creative individuals and businesses can design and decorate a tree, wreath or other item. Over 300 designer items, including door designs, centerpieces, fireplace mantels, and trees ranging in size from two feet to eight feet, are available for decoration. All designer items will be sold at the Fantasy of Trees. Download a pdf of the Designer Contract now!
  • Area Children - Area schools and children's groups are invited to participate by decorating "Adopt-A-Trees" for display and sale. Download a pdf of the Adopt-A-Tree Contract now!
  • Churches and religious organizations - Churches and religious organizations are invited to design and decorate Trees of Faith with religious-themed decorations. Trees of Faith are featured in the Designer Promenade, and like other designer items, they will be sold at the Fantasy of Trees. Download a pdf of the Designer Contract now!
  • Entertainers - Choirs, soloists, instrumentalists, magicians and other entertainers are needed to be a part of the continuous live entertainment on the main stage at the "Fantasy Theater." Entertainers are booked on a first-come, first-served basis beginning in late summer.
  • Gingerbread Village - Individuals, professional chefs and school children are needed to design and decorate gingerbread houses for sale in the Gingerbread Village . This village highlights the baking and creative skills of local gingerbread house builders. Download a pdf of the Gingerbread Village Contract now!
  • Children's Areas - Volunteer in one of the dozens of children's activity areas such as cookie decorating, face painting, holiday crafts, children's shopping areas and much more.
  • Shop Sales - Assist shoppers in one of the many holiday shops located throughout the event.
  • Ticket Takers - Welcome visitors, take tickets and distribute programs, coupons and other giveaways.
