If you’re visiting East Tennessee over the Thanksgiving holiday and are planning to attend the Fantasy of Trees, here are some tips that might make your stay in Knoxville and your attendance at our special holiday event a little easier and more enjoyable:
- Need to know how to get to the Fantasy of Trees at the Knoxville Convention Center? Click here for directions on the best way to get here. Please note that a portion of Interstate 40 is closed in this area. Detour directions are provided on the TDOT SmartFix-40 TDOT SmartFix-40 website.
- Need a place to stay? There’s a great facility located right next door to the Knoxville Convention Center – the Holiday Inn Select Downtown Knoxville at the Convention Center, located at 525 Henley Street. For reservations, call (865) 522-2800 or 800-HOLIDAY, or visit the hotel's website.
- Looking for a place to eat near the Fantasy of Trees location? There are a wide variety of restaurants within several miles of the Knoxville Convention Center. Several eateries are located within walking distance, including the Butcher Shop and Chesapeake’s Restaurant. Shoney's and Ruby Tuesday are within 2 miles on Chapman Highway. The Holiday Inn Select Downtown at the Convention Center houses a restaurant and pub.
- Need to catch up on what’s happening in the news? Read Knoxville’s daily newspaper, the Knoxville News Sentinel, at www.knoxnews.com.
- Need to know what the weather is? Watch WBIR-TV 10. You can also “watch” the weather at www.wbir.com, for an up-to-date Doppler Radar report and also get the five-day forecast for the area.
