In addition to the thousands of people who volunteer at the Fantasy of Trees, many individuals and organizations make in-kind donations to reduce the expenses of making the Fantasy of Trees the premiere holiday event in East Tennessee. This means even more money goes directly toward helping the children of this region.

Here are a few of the things needed at the Fantasy of Trees. If you or your company would like to donate any of these items or would like more information about making an in-kind donation, please call the Children's Hospital Volunteer Services Department at (865) 541-8136 or send an e-mail to fot@etch.com.

Permanent ink markers - all colors, all sizes
Ballpoint Pens
Copy Paper (8 1/2 x 11; white or any color)
Legal pads
Clipboards
Post-It Note Pads
Warehouse Supplies:
Bubble wrap
Packing tape and tape guns
Duct tape
Two-wheelers
Flat carts
Box cutters
Work gloves
Construction Supplies:
4x8 sheets of plywood (3/4 inch)
Assorted lumber
Assorted hand tools (hammers, pliers, etc.)
60 24-inch round or square pieces of plexiglass (1/8” thick)
Craft Materials:
Popsicle sticks
Pom-Poms
General Supplies:
Multi-plug strips
Grocery-type plastic bags
Garbage bags (opaque)
Batteries - all sizes
Paper towels
Deli-type plastic gloves
Christmas lights - new strings of 100 mini-lights, clear or multicolored
Bottled water for volunteers
Other Needs:
Gift Certificates from hardware stores, grocery stores, office supply stores and cloth shops to be used to purchase supplies for various areas at the show
Strolling characters -- costumed "critters," mascots, clowns and mimes to visit with guests on the show floor
Celebrity autographed items -- for the Celebrity Corner silent auction area
Gift certificates or merchandise for the Gala Silent Auction
