SANTA'S SENIOR STROLL
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 28 FROM 9 A.M. TO NOON
Santa's Senior Stroll, a special event designed for seniors, will take place on Friday, November 28, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event features a one-mile walk through the splendor and sparkle of this year's holiday show as well as tables with information on health topics of interest to seniors from Baptist Hospital. Santa's Senior Stroll also offers a half-price ticket of $5 to seniors 55 and over during the hour-long event. Walkers have both an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful decorations and activities of the Fantasy of Trees and a place to walk during the hustle and bustle of the busiest shopping day of the holiday season.
"The addition of Santa's Senior Stroll seven years ago was a huge success with hundreds of seniors joining us for this morning event," said Elizabeth Thomas, coordinator for the holiday event. "Santa's
Senior Stroll gives us the opportunity to offer a special event just for
seniors and those who enjoy walking while also offering seniors a special
ticket price to get in their daily walk and enjoy all the activities found
at this year's Fantasy of Trees." Santa's Senior Stroll will be mapped out for walkers so that they will know how many times they need to walk through the Fantasy of Trees for a one-mile walk. Representatives from Mercy Health Partners will be on hand at the conclusion of the course to provide information on health topics of interest to seniors and to offer free blood pressure screenings. A half-price ticket of $5 will be available to seniors from 9-10 a.m. during the event that day; this price cannot be combined with any other discount coupons that day. Santa's Senior Stroll is sponsored by the Mercy Health Partners.
