BABES IN TOYLAND PARADE
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26 AT 7 P.M.
Come join the Babes in Toyland Parade at the Fantasy of Trees on Wednesday, November 26!
The Babes in Toyland Parade features the first and only indoor Christmas parade of the season with a marching band, Santa, costumed characters and holiday fun. The parade will be broadcast live on WVLT-TV Volunteer News from 7-7:30 p.m.
The Babes in Toyland Parade will feature children dressed in holiday attire, led by the Powell High School marching band, joined by costumed characters including Shoney Bear and entertainers from Dollywood. The parade's grand finale features Santa Claus.
"The Babes in Toyland Parade has been a popular event with local child care center children and their parents, friends and other family," said Elizabeth Thomas, coordinator for the holiday event.
"This event gives us the opportunity to have small children in their own parade surrounded by the festive, holiday surroundings of the Fantasy of Trees. Children and Santa are the perfect mix to start the holiday season."
This dazzling holiday parade set in the middle of the Fantasy of Trees to benefit Children's Hospital begins at 7 p.m., and spectators are invited to enjoy the Fantasy of Trees after the children "strut their stuff" in the parade. The Fantasy of Trees is open on Wednesday, November 26 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
The Babes in Toyland Parade is sponsored by Dollywood.
