Computer Networking Company Donates iPads to Children's Hospital
Yesterday, San Jose-based computer networking company Extreme Networks donated six iPad minis to East Tennessee Children's Hospital. The iPad minis will be put to good use by our hospital and home health care patients, children being transported from other hospitals and those receiving care at Children's Hospital Rehabilitation Center. The small, light weight iPad mini makes it just right for little hands to grip. The devices are great for distraction when children are undergoing medical procedures.
Extreme Networks provides high-performance, open networking innovations for enterprises, service providers, and internet exchanges. Tracy Hill, Education Business Development Officer with Extreme Networks, said, "Our company is going to make an Extreme difference by reallocating a portion of our marketing budget to donate these mini iPads, on behalf of Education Technology leaders in Tennessee, to East Tennessee Children's Hospital for their patients."
