JULY

Infant and Child CPR Plus (for child care workers)

  • Time: Monday, July 23, 6-9 p.m.
  • Place: Children's Hospital
  • Cost: $20
  • Instructors: certified pediatric staff from Children's Hospital
  • This class will instruct child care workers on lifesaving techniques for children ages 8 and younger. This class will certify participants in CPR.

A Grand Event

  • Children's Hospital and Baptist Health System's Senior Services have teamed up for the second year to present "A Grand Event," a series of recreational and educational activities for grandparents who are involved in raising their grandchildren.
  • Events include seminars in various locations in Knox County and surrounding counties, as well as a fun day at the Knoxville Zoo.

  • Place: Barnes and Noble Booksellers, 8029 Kingston Pike, Knoxville
  • Cost: Free
  • Childhood is filled with great memories! From your child's first steps to the first day of school, this class offer tips for fun ways to create scrapbooks which celebrate your relationship with your child.
  • Children are welcome to attend this class with their parents.

Safe Snacks for Halloween

  • Time: Wednesday, October 31, 10-11 a.m.
  • Place: Barnes and Noble Booksellers, 8029 Kingston Pike, Knoxville
  • Cost: Free
  • Make sure your kids and their friends can safely enjoy the fun of Halloween by treating them to special Halloween snacks.
  • Children are welcome to attend this class with their parents.

The early elementary version is for parents of children in kindergarten through second grade. The grandparents' version is especially for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.
