CF Education Day

The Children’s Hospital cystic fibrosis team will host its Bi-Annual Cystic Fibrosis Family Education Day on Saturday, March 3, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Rothchild’s Catering in Knxville.

The free event features Lisa Green, author of "Parenting Children with Health Issues" and mother of two children with CF, speaking about the transition to adult care. CF Research Coordinator Swati Rogers will also be on hand to discuss updates on CF studies and the future of CF therapies.

In addition, Erin Hermann, N.P., will review cystic fibrosis related diabetes, and Dr. Bruce Ludwig, adult pulmonologist and director for the adult CF program at UT Medical Center, will speak about the adult center and answer questions for parents.

Individuals with cystic fibrosis are encouraged NOT to attend for health reasons, but masks will be available to those who do.
