This year, the star-studded cast of celebrity dancers who broke the Dancing with the Knoxville Stars fundraising record include comedienne Leanne Morgan, Star 102.1 Radio personality Dusti Kempf, Singer/songwriter Jordan Hill, Knoxville News Sentinel cartoonist Charlie Daniel, WBIR 10 News anchor Russell Biven, WVLT 8 News anchor Amanda Hara, Jewelry Television host Misty Mills, actor David Keith and WATE 6 News reporter Don Dare.
WBIR 10 News anchor Russell Biven and his dance partner Emily Norris were the champions this year, winning both the dance competition as well as raising the most funds for the event at $21,163.
Dancing with the Knoxville Stars raises funds for East Tennessee Children's Hospital through donations to celebrity dancers and through ticket sales. Every dollar raised by a celebrity dancer counted as a vote toward the fundraising trophy. The winner of the dance competition was determined by the judges' votes the night of the event.
Thanks to all the dancers, judges, entertainers, sponsors, attendees and voters. Your efforts helped make this event a tremendous success.
